Parking spaces

Those reserved for a Parking Permit holder are marked with the wheelchair symbol.

Do not park if the space is marked with someone's name or a licence plate number.

Where you may use your Parking Permit

You may use your Parking Permit in all the states and territories of Australia and in many other countries around the world.

Look at the entry for the country you intend visiting to see if your Parking Permit can be used.

You may use your Parking Permit in Australian Capital Territory.

Parking on roads

Do not park on a road where parking is prohibited; do not park in a bus or loading zone, on a clearway, or in a space reserved for other permit holders, eg medical practitioners and nurses.

You may park free-of- charge in a bay with a parking meter/ticket machine:

• For a maximum of two hours, where the parking meter/ticket machine has a time limit of 30 minutes or less.
• For unlimited time, where the parking meter/ticket machine has a time limit of more than 30 minutes.

You may park in a free parking bay with a maximum time limit:

• For a maximum of two hours, where the parking bay has a time limit of 30 minutes or less.
• For unlimited time, where the parking bay has a time limit of more than 30 minutes.

Parking in car parks

You may park free-of-charge in a government ticket car park and other government car parks:

• For a maximum of two hours, where the car park has a time limit of 30 minutes or less.
• For unlimited time, where the car park has a time limit of more than 30 minutes.
