Parking spaces
Those reserved for a Parking Card holder are marked with the wheelchair symbol and a traffic sign.
Do not park if the space is marked with someone's name or a licence plate number.
Where you may use your Parking Card
German Parking Card holder
You may use your Parking Card in most EU / EEA member states, and in some other countries around the world.
Look at the entry for the country you intend visiting to see if your Parking Card can be used.
Visitor to Germany
Visitor from another EU / EEA member state – you may use your Parking Card in Germany.
Visitor from outside the EU / EEA - you may not use your parking card in Germany, but it may be possible to obtain a temporary parking card from the road traffic authority for your destination – either the the local council (Stadtverwaltung) or the district authority (Kreisverwaltung).

Parking on roads
Note: The following parking concessions apply only if there is no alternative parking option available nearby.
You may park for up to three hours on a road or in a zone where parking is prohibited (restricted parking zone, Pictures 286/290.1).
You may park in a pedestrian zone but only if local concessions explicitly allow load and unload of goods at that time - check the traffic signs.
You may park free-of-charge for a maximum of 24 hours in a parking space on a road where payment is required.
You may park for up to 24 hours where parking is free but restricted by time.
You may park in a parking place reserved for residents for up to three hours.
You may park in a restricted traffic zone provided you do not cause an obstruction or danger.
