Those reserved for a Parking Card holder are marked with the wheelchair symbol.
Do not park if the space is marked with someone's name or a licence plate number.
Where you may use your Parking Card
Portuguese Parking Card holder
You may use your Parking Card in most EU and EEA member states, and in some other countries around the world.
Look at the entry for the country you intend visiting to see if your Parking Card can be used.
Visitors to Portugal
Visitors from another EU / EEA member state – you may use your Parking Card in Portugal.
Visitor from outside the EU / EEA – you may not use your Parking Card in Portugal but it may be possible to obtain a temporary permit.

Parking on roads
Do not park on a road where parking is prohibited, unless it is an absolute necessity, for only a short time, and without causing an obstruction or danger – we advise that you do so in an emergency only.
Do not drive or park in a pedestrian zone.
You must pay to park where payment is required, and must not exceed the paid-for time.
You must not exceed the time limit on a road where parking is free but restricted by time.
Parking in car parks
There are no concessions for a Parking Card holder in public car parks. |
