British Columbia has a Parking Permit Program administered by the Social Planning and Research Council of BC (SPARC BC)


Parking spaces

 

Those reserved for a Parking Permit holder are marked with the wheelchair symbol.

 

Do not park if the space is marked with someone's name or a licence plate number.

 

Where you may use your Parking Permit

 

British Columbian Parking Permit holder

You may use your Parking Permit in all the provinces and territories of Canada, and in many other countries around the world.

 

Look at the entry for the country you intend visiting to see if your Parking Permit can be used.

Parking on roads

 

You may park in a parking space marked with the international wheelchair symbol.

 

We understand that generally there are no other concessions for Parking Permit holders, but as roadside parking privileges and restrictions are set by the individual municipal authorities there may be variations - check the traffic signs or ask locally.

 

Parking in car parks

 

Parking privileges in car parks will vary - check the notices or ask an attendant.
